Transitioning from climbing in a gym to climbing into the outdoor environment for rock climbing is an exciting step in everyone's climbing progression. Outdoor climbing is a significant step to take and we at Basecamp want to help you make that step confidently by teaching you some of the most important skills to keep you safe and smiling when you go climbing outdoors. We do all this entirely in the safety of our indoor facility.
This course covers topics such as Cleaning Anchors, Belaying and Rappelling with an ATC, and Stick clipping
Cost: $180 + HST, please keep in mind that membership or day passes will be required in addition to the course fee. Also, if you have previously taken the introduction to lead climbing class with basecamp you will receive a $30 discount when taking this course.
Course Requirements: Must be a lead certified climber at Basecamp by either passing our lead test(please book in advance) or having passed our introduction to lead climbing course.

6 Quick draws (12 recommended for climbing in Ontario)
1 Petzl grigri 2 w/ locking carabiner
1 ATC or Equivalent belay device w/ Locking Carabiner
1 Prusik cord(min 6mm dia., 1m length) w/ Locking Carabiner
