Our two-hour intro class covers all the basics of bouldering, including a foundation in movement, basic bouldering terminology and a few tips and tricks to help get you started. The following topics are covered in our lesson: warm-up and stretching practice, proper fall techniques, basic movement, introductory hand and foot techniques.
Our technique classes are specifically designed to hone your skills and push your grade. Using specialized drills that cover everything from footwork and handholds to balance and cardio you’ll gain a new understanding of the sport and the skills to push yourself to the next level. Boulder 101
Are you new to bouldering, or are you intimidated by that nightmare slab or insane dyno, and what the heck is smearing? Learn the vocabulary of climbing and build confidence on a variety of climbing terrain in a supportive environment with fellow new and intermediate climbers.
In Boulder 101 you will:
• Learn the vocabulary of climbing
• Hone fundamental movements
• Practice Route reading and climbing tactics
• Develop routines for longevity and injury prevention
Boulder 101 is offered in blocks of classes, each themed around a concept or skill. Each iteration of the program will be tailored to suit the skill level of the participants to continue challenging returning students as they progress.

Are you a power freak who avoids slabs like the plague; an old-school tech fiend who feels left behind by new-school route setting; or do you have a vague climbing goal but don’t know where to start? Boulder 201 will help fill in the gaps for intermediate-advanced climbers.
Topics covered in the program:
• Intermediate-advanced movements
• Intermediate-advanced climbing tactics
• Recognizing and tackling weaknesses
• Mobility and strength training
• Process-oriented goal setting
• Developing a training program
Boulder 201 is offered in blocks centred around setting and achieving a goal for each participant. Participants will end the program with a template that can be reused for future iterations of the program, or other climbing projects.
Prerequisites: able to climb most of the green circuit boulders. Boulder 101 is recommended.
